A practical tool workflow
How to use Path of Exile 2 tools
You do not need a screen full of tools to start Path of Exile 2. Begin with a build reference and a place to look up unfamiliar mechanics. Add filters, price checks and crafting calculations when those decisions actually come up. This is one possible route through the tool ecosystem, not a build to follow.
Workflow reviewed
Start with the step you need. These are examples, not a ranking or a required tool stack. Listing details stay connected to current GG Atlas records; reachability is not proof of compatibility or safety.
Step 1
Plan a character
When: Before choosing a character, or when your current build stops making sense.
Look at a reference build to understand the skills and equipment it expects. Use a character planner when you want to test your own changes; a finished endgame setup is not a shopping list for a new character. Check the intended game version before importing anything.

Explore the campaign
When: During the campaign, when a quest, reward or mechanic is unclear.
Look up the specific question rather than reading every system in advance. A wiki is useful for explanations; a campaign companion is a different choice if you want to keep track of your route. Both can contain spoilers, so use only the detail you need.

Configure your game
When: When loot becomes hard to read, or you move into a different stage of progression.
Start with a filter you understand and adjust its strictness as your needs change. Keep the game, league and platform in mind when exporting a configuration. A filter hides or highlights drops; it does not decide what an item is worth for your particular character.

Find and value items
When: When an unfamiliar item drops, or you are comparing a possible upgrade.
Use an item database to understand the base, modifiers and requirements. Then use economy data for market context. An asking price is not a completed sale, and an item can be useful to your build without being valuable to other players.

Craft and upgrade
When: Before spending currency on a crafting attempt.
Check which outcomes are possible, then model the sequence and its assumptions. Compare that cost with buying an alternative. A simulator can explain the process, but it cannot promise the result of your next craft or account for every market change.

Trade and compare
When: Once you have a specific item or upgrade in mind.
Compare similar items in the correct league before deciding on a price or purchase. Saved searches can help with a repeated search; they are unnecessary for a single lookup. Review browser-extension permissions before adding a trading extension.

Play with tools
When: Only if repeated lookups are interrupting your sessions.
Decide whether a second browser tab is enough before installing a desktop companion. Compare the recorded formats, access requirements and disclosures of price-check tools. GG Atlas does not certify an overlay or guarantee that it complies with the game's current rules.
