A practical tool workflow

How to use Deadlock tools

For Deadlock, separate learning a hero from comparing item choices and reviewing results. Statistics can point to a question worth investigating, but a popular build is not an explanation of why it fits your match. Keep patch context visible when moving between references.

Workflow reviewed

Start with the step you need. These are examples, not a ranking or a required tool stack. Listing details stay connected to current GG Atlas records; reachability is not proof of compatibility or safety.

Step 1

Choose a hero

When: When trying a hero or returning after an update.

Read a build explanation and identify the role of its main items. Check the patch and match context before copying the order; usage statistics alone do not establish suitability for your playstyle.

  • DeadlockedWeb

  • DeadlockerWeb

Step 2

Learn the map

When: When positioning or an unfamiliar part of the map is the problem.

Use the map reference to answer one movement or location question. Bring that answer into a practice session rather than treating a map as live knowledge of the match.

  • Deadlock LabsWeb

Deadlock stats tracker with hero and item tier lists, an interactive map, minigames, and Twitch overlay tools.

Step 3

Plan your items

When: When comparing two possible item paths.

Hold the hero and calculation assumptions constant while changing the item choice. Use estimates to understand the trade-off, not to predict the outcome of every fight.

  • Deadlock CalculatorWeb

Build planner for Deadlock heroes, item paths, damage, effective health, ability upgrades, and matchups.

  • Deadlock APIWeb

Live Deadlock hero, item, ability, player, leaderboard, and match analytics with open data and developer APIs.

Step 4

Read the meta

When: After a session, when you have a specific result to investigate.

Compare the relevant hero, item or match statistics. Use competitive coverage for examples of decisions in context; do not infer that a tournament choice transfers unchanged to your matches.

  • Deadlock APIWeb

Live Deadlock hero, item, ability, player, leaderboard, and match analytics with open data and developer APIs.

  • VP Esports DeadlockWeb

Deadlock tournament coverage, player tracking, build guides, and competitive match data.

Keep the workflow small

Choose one tool for the question in front of you. Open its record to check current requirements, disclosures and source links. Skip installs and account connections you do not need, and revisit version-dependent advice after a game update.

GG Atlas maintains the workflow text. Tool names, summaries and formats come from the live catalogue; unavailable examples can be removed without inventing a replacement. This is not a hands-on test of every tool.
